Situated at the foothills of the Stellenbosch Mountain, Vriesenhof is where the ever-changing climatic effect of the Atlantic Ocean is evident throughout the year. The first wine was produced under the majestic oak trees in 1981. When the current owner first arrived on Vriesenhof, it was planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and pinotage. In 1983, Jan started planting Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Unwooded Chardonnay 2019

• The wine is light and refreshing and bursting with fruit. Fresh citrus with zesty acidity and hints of gooseberries and green apples.
• Varieties: Chardonnay (100%)
• AVB: 13.48%

Grenache Rose 2019

• This Rose is a popular choice as an accompaniment to any leisurely summer lunch. Ruby grapefruit with cherries and raspberries, with a beautiful citrus finish.
• Varieties: Grenache (100%) from Stellenbosch, a vineyard planted 2009/2010
• ABV: 13.99%

Grenache / Shiraz / Mourvedre 2017

• Dark cherries, chocolate with beautiful savouriness and white pepper and a lingering finish of raspberries and leather.
• Varieties: This blend of Grenache (46%), Shiraz (35%) and Mourvedre (19%).
• ABV: 14.49%
