Mourvèdre has traditionally been used for the production of high-quality rosé wines in Provence. It was therefore a natural step to use our estate vineyard and try it for ourselves. We have always enjoyed adding a bit of Mourvèdre to our Syrah for its spicy & earthy flavours.
Because the Mourvèdre (moor-vey-drug) grape is originally from the warm shores of the Mediterranean, it is heat-resistant and grows vigorously in our climate. Our small vineyard of less than one hectare is pruned to retain a large number of growth positions. This reduces the vines’ vegetative vigour and yields a balance between growth and fruiting.
That's why we've taken it upon ourselves to bring you 10 minutes (15 if you're easily entertained) of excitement and adventure.
How? Through the magic of VIDEO TOURS.
