About

Mourvèdre has traditionally been used for the production of high-quality rosé wines in Provence. It was therefore a natural step to use our estate vineyard and try it for ourselves. We have always enjoyed adding a bit of Mourvèdre to our Syrah for its spicy & earthy flavours.

Because the Mourvèdre (moor-vey-drug) grape is originally from the warm shores of the Mediterranean, it is heat-resistant and grows vigorously in our climate. Our small vineyard of less than one hectare is pruned to retain a large number of growth positions. This reduces the vines’ vegetative vigour and yields a balance between growth and fruiting.

• Salmon colour
• This Rosé stands out with a light salmon pink colour and a bit of orange peel on the rim.
• The wine elicits aromas of rose water, strawberries, watermelon, and black currant. It has a crisp, dry finish
• The 2019 growing season was notable for moderate temperatures and a long ripening period. 
• Slow, even ripening led to good colouring of the berries.
• The rosé fruit arrived in excellent condition at the winery.
