The acclaimed Kleinood Katharien has just fallen into our hands, and oh goodness are we excited to share this with you! From hand-picked grapes to hand labelling, the fine folks at Kleinood have really gone out of their way to produce one of the countries highest awarded and exciting Rosés. The Katharien Tamboerskloof Rose 2019 is a very pale pink, salmon-coloured wine. Katharien has depth, is well integrated, balanced-even spicy. All the fruit is from premier vines and 100% Syrah. No acidification proves that this wine is rich with balanced mouth-feel.
Product Features
- 14-year-old vines planted on Tukulu and Kroonstad soil 18km from the ocean. Grapes were handpicked.
- The grapes were hand-sorted across our sorting tables before being destemmed into an Inox basket press.
- The juice was settled overnight, where after the clear juice was racked off and 85% of the production was fermented in stainless steel tank and remainder fermented in 300L French oak barrels (5th fill).
