The beautiful Elgin Valley is a cool climate high inland plateau, completely surrounded by mountains. Just 70km from Cape Town, South Africa, it is rapidly gaining a reputation for the production of premium quality wines. We are slowly unlocking the secret of the Elgin Valley. The range of wines are designed to be fresh, pure, fruit-driven, light and accessible with all the fundamentals of premium wine whilst still showcasing the unique profile from the Elgin Valley.

- 80% of the grapes received 4 hours of skin contact before pressing. 20% are fermented on the skins for 5 – 10 days. Settling overnight. 90% Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tank 10% in small 900L eggs.
- Soil – Bokkeveld Shale, Table Mountain Sandstone and rocky Ferricrete soils Planting density – 3 500 vines/ Ha, 10 year old vines
- 4 months on the lees to create texture and mouthfeel on the mid-palate.

Anyhoo, last night we had a dream where we featured half off tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers live at the Department of Home Affairs. They weren’t even performing. They just worked there. Crazy, huh?
